JGCloud Helper is a Chrome extension that captures a single gameplay frame on explicit user action to compute a lap time via OCR and display the result. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
What we collect
-
Screenshot on submission: When you press Submit (or use the keyboard shortcut), the extension captures a single frame from the gameplay or results screen for OCR.
-
Minimal metadata: We send limited context with the image to the OCR API:
subscriber_id, game_id, optional latestGameTitle, OS, a session start timestamp, non‑PII UTM parameters, and optional privacy‑preserving fields (enc_FN, enc_GN) when present.
-
Debug logs (optional): If you enable Debug Mode from the extension menu, we write local console logs (including lightweight event markers). These logs are local only and are not transmitted.
What we do not collect
- No passwords, authentication secrets, or financial data.
- No phone numbers or precise location.
- No browsing history or unrelated page content.
- No continuous screen recording—only a single frame upon your explicit action.
How we use the data
- Process the screenshot to detect a lap time and validate basic tournament rules.
- Display results (lap time, delta, position/total) in a small on‑screen toast.
- Operate and secure the service (e.g., HMAC verification, reliability, troubleshooting).
Data transfer and security
- Images and metadata are sent over HTTPS to our OCR API endpoint:
https://jg-ocr-828606978089.asia-south1.run.app.
- Requests include an HMAC signature to verify integrity and authenticity.
- We do not embed or execute remote code from third parties in the extension.
Retention
OCR images and associated metadata are retained only as long as necessary to provide the service and for short‑term troubleshooting and audit. If you need specific retention details for a tournament or environment, please contact us.
Sharing
We do not sell user data. We may share data with service providers strictly to operate the OCR service (e.g., hosting). These providers are bound by contractual and confidentiality obligations.
Your choices
- Disable or remove the extension at any time from
chrome://extensions.
- Do not press Submit if you do not want a capture to be sent.
- Leave Debug Mode off to avoid local debug logging.
